In a work landscape that continues to evolve, women in journalism (similar to women in the technology industry) can find themselves unmoored, questioning their own value, and wondering how to navigate to their next move. Most of us don’t have the time to go on a personal retreat for self-exploration and reinvention. But until we let go of the old constructs and discover who we are and what we want, we will just leap from job to job, wondering why we feel unfulfilled.
This interactive workshop will engage participants in the internal work for transformation, in which they enter into a larger possibility for themselves and their fit in the world. Because we live out of the stories we have about our lives, transformation becomes possible when we shift the stories we tell about ourselves and what’s possible. This foundational work will help JAWS members let go of old unproductive stories, claim and articulate their value and seize new opportunities. Participants will feel revitalized about their career and clear on next steps to align with their true path.
Pre-work: Come with two to three examples of “peak” work experiences—where you used your talents and felt fulfilled.
The session will cover:
- Letting go of “Life Sentences”
- Identify Your “Stand”
- Articulating Your Value
